 At Branching Out we deliver Entry Level courses in partnership with Huntingdon Regional College
We have extensive facilities offering Interactive smart boards and new computers in our purpose built classroom
Running multiple work areas where evidence is collected for course work in woodwork, recycling, catering, horticulture, wood recycling and retail, providing excellent facilities and real work experience.
All courses are run in partnership with Huntingdonshire Regional College. We deliver the training courses using various teaching methods catered to the individuals needs
At Branching Out all staff have a extensive training program covering various aspects of Learning Disabilities and Difficulties.
The social enterprising college has proactive SCIPr-uk trained staff that work closely with all students and service users providing a consistent approach throughout the staff team.
Education Courses
All Students and Service users have a six week Health and Safety induction and all courses have preparation for work included .
Wider Key skills is about learning to plan a task, performing the task and evaluating the task.We deliver three modules of the Wider Key Skills accreditation.
Evidence is collected in work areas and a portfolio put together by the candidate. College Certificate in Life Skills
The Life skills course is about the skills that you can use in day to day life to encourage independence.
NPTC-a City and Guilds accredited course
NPTC entry level 1, 2 and 3 is run along side all our work areas gaining evidence for the candidate’s portfolio. Our students will gain real work experience in one or multiple work areas catered to the needs of the individual
Improving choices pathfinder project Taken from ‘Improving Choices for Living and Work’ guidance notes
Improving Choices for Living and Work embeds the improving Choices pathfinder firmly in the Learning for Living and Work agenda. It provides an assessment and planning framework that will enable appropriate options to be identified for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LLDD) that need more support than they can usually be provided with at a local college, enabling them to develop the skills they need to be a valued member of society.
